Embryo Adoption

So Shaun & I attended an adoption orientation meeting at Bethany, last Tuesday. The meeting went very well and they presented our different adoption options. Of all the options, embryo adoption seems the most appealing. Many of you asked me what that entails, so I'll try to line that out for you. Basically it's the latter half of the IVF process. Someone else's embryo would be carried by me allowing me the chance to be pregnant and recognized as the child's parents at birth. (They would have no genetic relation to either of us.)There's a 32% chance the embryo will go to full term. The adoption is a contract, so the donor's rights are terminated at the embryo's release instead of having a waiting period like a standard adoption where someone can reclaim their rights. You can read more about it here.
